Families joined us at CHLA for our Adrenal Family Day event on Saturday July 27th – we focused on parent support groups and the children were able to enjoy activities including dog therapy!

Monday, July 8, 2019 at The Painted Turtle

The Painted Turtle provides fun camps for children with chronic diseases. We attended the Adrenal Insufficiency Camp and had a great time! Children participated in activities such as archery, fishing, zip-lining, and more!

CAH Parent Support Group: Transition to Childhood

Parents joined us at CHLA for our CAH Infant-Toddler Support Group event on Saturday March 9th – we focused on the “transition to childhood” and how to take care of a child with CAH going through this transition. This group was led by Dr. Patrice Yasuda, clinical child psychologist on the CHLA CAH Team.

CARES Foundation CAH Awareness Walk

We gladly walk at the event each year to support CAH families and CARES, provide education, and raise awareness!

CAH Parent Support Group: Transition to Adolescence! 

Saturday, July 28, 2018 at CHLA

Parents joined us for fun, food, and families at CHLA for our parent support group on Saturday July 28 – we focused on the transition from childhood to adolescence and how to better communicate and parent a child with CAH going through this transition. This group was led by Dr. Patrice Yasuda, clinical child psychologist on the CHLA CAH Team, and was specifically for families who have a child with CAH.

Artists from Coach Art were also there, so families were able to bring their children too! Thanks Coach Art!

Families joined us for a weekend of camp fun at The Painted Turtle in Lake Hughes, CA. Families and youth had the opportunity to meet one another, share their experiences, meet the CAH staff and make new friends!
